April 29th – Baltimore, MD — Animal lovers, dogs, cats, and other furry friends will be dressed in their finest regalia at Baltimore Humane Society’s Black Tie & Tails Gala on Saturday, April 29th. This formal affair, uniquely including pets, is all in support of Reisterstown’s no-kill animal shelter.
The unique event will also be honoring its 2017 Animal Welfare Hero, Officer Henry McMullen, the man who saved “Miracle Molly.” Molly was accidentally hit by an Amtrak train in a tunnel. McMullen saved the dog whose leg was severed. The event is also honoring the memory of Sarah Jayne Orton, a little who girl suddenly passed away after choosing to have her 5th birthday guests donate to the shelter animals rather than give her birthday gifts.
The evening will feature an elegant seated dinner, open bar, live music, dancing, games, and a live auction hosted by A.J. Billig & Co. Auctioneers. People who can’t make the Gala can still participate this year by bidding directly online, even during the actual Gala! Items include a limited edition NFL Football Helmet signed by AND inscribed by ALL 18 Living NFL Quarterbacks who have been inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame, Lady Gaga autographed Poker Face sheet music, and a Bruce Springstein autographed guitar! Other of the over one hundred items include golf lessons, a private wine class for 20, overnight get-aways, and so much, much more!
Guests are invited to bring their pets and dance the night away with either their furry or human companions. All funds raised from Black Tie and Tails support the care of the animals at the no-kill shelter in Reisterstown.
