BALTIMORE, MD — Animal lovers, dogs, cats, and other furry friends will be dressed in their finest regalia at Baltimore Humane Society’s Black Tie & Tails Gala on Saturday, March 19th. This formal affair, uniquely including pets, is all in support of Reisterstown’s no-kill animal shelter.
The unique event will also be honoring its 2016 Animal Welfare Hero, Robert McClintock. McClintock is a nationally acclaimed photographer and digital artist who makes Baltimore his home. You can view some of his work at his Fells Point gallery including the “Dogs That I Know” and “My Cats Are Cool” series. In 2005, Robert worked with PETsMART Charities helping to raise almost $2 million dollars to save homeless pets. In 2014, Robert was chosen to participate in the “Show Your Softside” campaign, which strives to end animal abuse on a national scale.
The evening will feature an elegant seated dinner catered by Santoni’s, open bar, live music, dancing, silent auction, and a live auction hosted by A.J. Billig & Co. Auctioneers. Some of the exclusive items being auctioned include:
- VIP Camden Yards Orioles Experience that includes catered Skybox for 14 people! Special on the field access for batting practice before the game!
- Behind the scenes tour of the Aquarium plus special animalencounter
- Exclusive tour to the Ravens Under Armour Performance Center and attendance of a press conference

Guests, young and old, are invited to bring their pets and dance the night away with either their furry or human companions. All funds raised from Black Tie and Tails support the care of the animals at the no-kill shelter in Reisterstown.
