March 28th, 2015-Baltimore, MD — Animal lovers, dogs, cats, and other furry friends will be dressed in their finest regalia at Baltimore Humane Society’s Black Tie & Tails Gala on Saturday, March 28th. This formal affair, uniquely including pets, is all in support of Reisterstown’s no-kill animal shelter.
The unique event will also be honoring its 2015 Animal Welfare Hero, Mary Swift. Swift has tirelessly given her time and talent to Baltimore Humane Society and other animal rescues by photographing the pets available for adoption. She is the owner of Mary Swift Photography. It’s long been known that the way a homeless pet is presented, strongly impacts the public’s perception and desire to adopt. Through Mary’s photography, countless animals have found their forever homes.
The evening, hosted by WMAR-TV ABC2 News Anchor Jamie Costello, will feature an elegant seated dinner, open bar, live music, dancing, raffles, and a live auction hosted by A.J. Billig & Co. Auctioneers. Some of the exclusive items being auctioned include:
