This is your child’s chance to stand out. In 250 words or less, or using a drawing or sculpture (submit a photo), express your feelings about “What is A Happy Pet?” Express the role of treating pets with respect, kindness, tolerance, and compassion. There will be a 1st place winner in each of 3 age categories: ages 6-9, 10-13, 14-17.
First prize winners will be announced in Baltimore’s Child Magazine and have the opportunity to read their work or display their art at DOGFEST 2019 on September 21st. Only one submission per person please. Please note that any contestant found to plagiarize or violate copyright will be disqualified. No profanity will be accepted in a submission. Work should be solely that of the student contestant. Judging will be blind and judges will consist of members of the animal rescue community, educators and media personalities.
