Clear the Shelters – Finding Forever Homes on July 23, 2016 – All Adoption Fees Waived!

Animal shelters across the country will come together July 23 for Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption initiative that aims to connect animals in need with loving new families. Nearly 20,000 pets found their forever homes in 2015, when some 400 animal shelters across the country partnered with NBC Owned Television Stations and the Telemundo Station Group.

“’Clear the Shelters’ is actually a national promotion day to have all the animals adopted from your local animal shelters,” Baltimore Humane Society spokeswoman Wendy Goldband stated on WBAL-TV.  NBC affiliates are teaming up with hundreds of shelters. It’s a one-day campaign to find homes for as many dogs and cats as they can.  The adoption fee will be waived all day on Saturday if you coming to adopt an animal. Also included is having your pet spayed/neutered and a microchip plus $200 worth of veterinary services.
