Located in the new Whitehall Mill in Hampden at 3300 Clipper Mill Road, the resident cats living at the café are all available for adoption through Baltimore Humane Society, the no-kill shelter located in Reisterstown. “We are very excited about this partnership with Charm Kitty Café. We can now save even more cats and kittens with the addition of housing for adoptable felines at the café,” says Christine DeCorse, Baltimore Humane Society Executive Director.
The first cats ready to hang out with café patrons and hoping to be adopted are Scamp, Frankie, Tiny, Paris, Star, Salem, and Night. If someone is interested in adopting one of the cats they can apply onsite at the cafe. A Baltimore Humane Society Adoption Counselor will then call the applicant and process the application. Adoptions will take place at the cafe on certain days of the week.
Patrons of the café must make a reservation to attend. There are no walk-ins. Reservations are available in 70-minute blocks ($10 per person on weekdays, $12 on weekends). Cookies from Dark Side Cookies and drinks from Zeke’s Coffee can be added to the reservation in advance or purchased at the café with credit card. The minimum age for entering the cafe is 7 years old and there is a minor waiver for people between the ages of 7 and 17. Reservations can be made at charmkittycafe.com.
